CHINA SHIPPING GROUP CHANGES ASIA/EUROPE PLAN
China Shipping Group, the expansionist Chinese shipping
line, said that it will restructure its weekly Asia/Mediterranean/northern Europe
"Loop 2" container service at the end of the year.
Loop 2 will become an Asia/Mediterranean service.
The Chinese carrier said that the Loop 2 service will no longer call in
northern Europe because its transit times were too long.
China Shipping Group’s weekly Asia/northern Europe "Loop 1"
is not affected by the change.
China Shipping Group had launched the Loop 2 link in August as an
Asia/northern Europe service and subsequently added Mediterranean ports to the rotation.
