China Shipping, Sinotrans to swap China/Philippines space
Chinese government-controlled China Shipping Container Lines and Sinotrans Container Lines have signed a slot charter agreement to provide each other with space on services between China and the Philippines.
Effective Jan. 13, China Shipping will provide Sinotrans with 30 TEUs per week on its Shanghai/Ningbo/Manila service that uses two 1,700-TEU ships. In return, Sinotrans will offer 40 TEUs per week to China Shipping on its Shantou/Xiamen/Manila service that uses one 600-TEU vessel.
