CKYH alliance adds Panama call to Asia/U.S. East Coast link
Alliance carriers COSCO Container Lines, “K” Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin Shipping are adding fortnightly calls at Cristobal, Panama, to their joint weekly Asia/U.S. East Coast “AWE-2” service.
The vessel “River Wisdom” is scheduled to make the first departure from Panama April 13.
As a result of the change, calls at Shanghai are being amended to every fortnight, instead of weekly.
The “AWE-2” service uses eight ships averaging 3,886 TEUs and will have a revised port rotation of Qingdao, Shanghai (fortnightly), Yantian, Hong Kong, Cristobal (fortnightly), Charleston, New York, Boston, Cristobal (fortnightly), and back to Qingdao.
