CKYH combines Pacific, Asia/Europe links
The CKYH alliance of COSCO Container Lines, “K” Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin Shipping is converting the “PSX” transpacific service and “NEX” Asia/Europe service into a single pendulum service to be called pendulum express service, or “PDE.”
By combining the two operations, the alliance carriers will cut the number of ships employed from 13 to 12. The “PDE” service continues to use ships with capacities of between 5,300 and 5,600 TEUs.
The revised service will have a rotation of Port Kelang, Yantian, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Busan, Long Beach, Oakland, Seattle, Busan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Port Kelang, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Felixstowe, Le Havre and Port Kelang. The first westbound sailing will be from Long Beach April 6.
