CLARIFICATION: MEDITERRANEAN SHIPPING SERVICE MADE SEASONAL ADJUSTMENT
Mediterranean Shipping Co.'s removal of a vessel on its transpacific service, reported in the June 14 Shippers' NewsWire, is a seasonal adjustment, the company said.
The reduction of vessels from six to five in the weekly service took place in March, said Allen Clifford, senior vice president.
“This is a routine exercise as we normally operate from March through October/November with five instead of six vessels to maintain our schedule,” Clifford said.
