CLARIFICATION: NEITHER CROWLEY OWNS “CROWLEY LION”
The “Crowley Lion,” a containership that, through several of its crew members, was involved in an alleged drug-smuggling scheme, neither owned nor operated by Crowley Maritime nor Crowley American Transport, a unit of Hamburg Sud.
The vessel is owned by Willric and managed by UNI Team Marine Ltd. Of Limassol, Cypress. The ship's crew members were arrested by U.S. Customs in late June near the Port of Baltimore.
