CMA CGM, China Shipping to swap slots in transpacific
CMA CGM and China Shipping Container Lines will further cooperate in the transpacific trade following the filing of a cross slot charter agreement with the U.S. Federal Maritime Commission.
Under terms of the agreement the parties are allowed to charter space to each other on separate strings in the trades between the U.S. Gulf and West Coast ports and ports in the Far East.
According to ComPair Data, the global liner-shipping database at http://www.compairdata.com , the two carriers already cooperate on three weekly services in the Asia to North America trade.
