CMA CGM, CONTSHIP, MARFRET EXTEND ROUND-THE-WORLD VSA

   CMA CGM, Contship Containerlines and Marfret have extended by three years
their vessel-sharing agreement, covering a joint westbound
round-the-world service.
   Operating every 10 days, the eight-ship service covers the route from
Europe to the U.S. East Coast, Panama, Australasia, Suez and back to Europe.
   The three lines have operated the joint service since February 1998.
Each carrier will continue to have independent marketing.
   The addition of new tonnage, increased frequency and better port
coverage are under study, the carriers said.
