CMA CGM launches 2nd Asia/East Mediterranean link
CMA CGM is starting a second independent Asia/East Mediterranean container service in mid-May.
The “Bosphorus Express II” weekly service will start on May 23 with seven ships of 2,800 TEUs and call Qingdao, Shanghai, Kaohsiung, Chiwan, Port Kelang, Damietta, Beirut, Lattakia, Constanza, Ilyichevsk, Chiwan and back to Qingdao.
The new “BEX II” service will run alongside the existing “Bosphorus Express I” service that started in September last year.
The new service will see approximately 145,000 TEUs in annual one-way capacity added to the Asia/East Mediterranean trade.
