CMA CGM TAKES SLOTS ON HANJIN’S TRANSPACIFIC SERVICES
CMA CGM has signed a slot charter agreement with Hanjin Shipping to take space on the Korean carrier’s Pacific Northwest transpacific services.
The proposed agreement authorizes CMA CGM to charter space on Hanjin’s vessels in the trades between ports on the United States West Coast and ports in the Far East.
CMA CGM is preparing to change substantially its transpacific services for the forthcoming peak season, coinciding with the end of a slot charter agreement with Maersk Sealand.
CMA CGM and China Shipping Container Lines are expected to announce the launch in May of a new vessel-sharing agreement service that would serve the port of Los Angeles and ports in China, South Korea and Japan.
