CN ANNOUNCES THREE EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS
Canadian national has named Jean-Jacques Ruest vice president, chemicals and petroleum; Sandi Mielitz vice president, commercial development; and Ross Goldsworthy, vice president, grain and fertilizers.
Ruest was assistant vice president, petroleum and plastics. A former executive of ICI (Canada), a major chemical corporation, he joined CN in 1996. He will be based in Montreal.
He replaces Edward Kammerer who is moving to Chicago to take a new position with special marketing design responsibilities related to the proposed merger of CN and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp. Prior to being appointed vice president, chemicals and petroleum for IC in 1999, Kammerer held senior positions at Southern Pacific and the chemical industry.
Mielitz was vice president, grains and fertilizers (Canada). She joined CN in 1978 and has held positions in public affairs and advertising, treasury, planning and administration and marketing. She will be based in Winnipeg.
Goldsworthy was assistant vice president of CN's grain business unit. He joined CN in 1981 and held senior positions in CN's Calgary-based bulk marketing group, serving the railroad's coal, fertilizer and sulfur shippers. He will also be based in Winnipeg.
