CN DONATES $1.25 MILLION FOR UNIVERSITY LOGISTICS PROGRAM
Canadian National has donated $1.25 million to the University of British Columbia to create a new transportation and logistics program.
The interdisciplinary program will focus on research and teaching in the fields of operations, logistics, supply chain management, land use planning and community decision making.
“The endowment will support a unique collaboration, bringing together transportation expertise from UBC’s faculty of Graduate Studies, School of Community and Regional Planning, and faculty of Commerce and Business Administration,” CN said.
The university will match the railroad’s gift with $2.5 million.
