CN PLANS $40-MILLION INTERMODAL TERMINAL NEAR TORONTO
Canadian National said Monday it plans to build a $40-million intermodal terminal about 20 miles west of Toronto.
The terminal, which is scheduled to open in late 20002, will occupy about 100 acres. CN's existing terminal in the Toronto area is located in Brampton, Ontario.
CN handled 1.12 million intermodal units last year, an increase of 13 percent and saw its intermodal revenue grow by the same amount to $919 million.
