CNF RENAMES EMERY FORWARDING
Emery Forwarding, the forwarding arm of the CNF Inc. group, will be renamed Menlo Worldwide Forwarding.
Emery, founded in 1946, was already one of the companies doing business under the Menlo Worldwide brand of CNF. The group expects to complete the change of name by next January.
In December 2001, CNF formed Menlo Worldwide. At that time, Emery joined CNF sister companies Menlo Worldwide Logistics, Vector SCM and Menlo Worldwide Technologies within the new Menlo Worldwide business.
CNF said that the Emery Expedite! service has recently changed its name to Menlo Worldwide Expedite!, and Emery Customs Brokers has changed its name to Menlo Worldwide Trade Services.
Emery is present in 200 countries. Because of this, CNF said that the change of name will be phased in over the rest of 2003.
