COAC members prepare to rotate
Half of the 20 industry members that comprise the Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations (COAC) of U.S. Customs and Border Protection will complete their two-year terms at the end of the year.
Department of Homeland Security officials said Friday they planned to publish a notice in the Federal Register within two weeks to solicit applications from the international trade community. COAC provides recommendations to Customs and DHS on how rules and regulations can affect import and export operations.
