COAST GUARD RELEASES E-FORM FOR NOTICE OF ARRIVALS
The U.S. Coast Guard has developed a five-part electronic form that vessel operators and agents for ships heading to U.S. ports may use in submitting 96-hour advance notices of arrival.
The e-form provides for such data as vessel, ISM Code, and current voyage information; a crew list; a non-crew and passenger list; a cargo manifest; and an arrival-departure update form to be used for making changes in previously submitted information.
The new Coast Guard e-form is in Microsoft Excel format, and is expected to become the preferred method for submitting advance notices of arrival. For more information, see http://www.nvmc.uscg.gov/Forms/NOAForm.xls .
