Coast Guard says final security rules due today
A U.S. Coast Guard spokesman said the agency's final regulations regarding maritime security will be released today.
The final rules, available on the Federal Register, will reflect comments received on the July 1 interim rules, which they will replace.
Tom Ridge, Secretary of Homeland Security, will publicly announce and discuss the final rules Thursday in Wilmington, Del., the spokesman said.
