Compliance managers to gather in San Diego
The fledgling International Compliance Professionals Association will hold its first-ever conference in San Diego March 10-13.
The group, which formally got organized last year, was created to serve as a networking and education resource for corporate managers responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. trade laws. ICPA has about 300 members, many from some of the world’s largest multinational firms.
The conference will address issues compliance managers routinely face, including panels on how to write a compliance manual, how to deal with brokers, the North American Free Trade Agreement, Importer Self Assessments and gaining corporate support for compliance issues, how to use the Automated Export System and an update on Federal Drug Administration regulations on food imports.
Registration is $550 for non-members. For more details of the conference, go to the ICPA Web site at http://www.icpainc.org/.
