CONSOLIDATED FREIGHTWAYS UNVEILS WEB SITE
Consolidated Freightways, based in Menlo Park, Calif., has launched a Web site, http://www.cf.com, designed for long-haul shippers who account for most of the company’s core business.
Marty Larson, head of Web marketing and e-commerce at CF, said 5,000 of the company’s 155,000 core customers “every day are logging on cf.com to access time-sensitive information in a self-serve, Web-based environment.”
The new site allows customers to create and print a single bill of lading online, download shipping forms and freight labels, file freight claims, submit credit applications, and schedule pickups for shipments.
