Continental introduces U.S./Northern Ireland non-stop flights
Continental Airlines today starts daily nonstop flights from its Newark Liberty International Airport hub to Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Continental said the Belfast flights will use a Boeing 757 aircraft and will be the first non-stop scheduled service ever to operate from the United States to Northern Ireland.
The Belfast service is the second in a series of six additional transatlantic routes planned by Continental this summer. Continental began service from New York/Newark to Bristol last week. Following the addition of Belfast, Continental will inaugurate services to Stockholm June 2; Hamburg June 9; Berlin June 30 and Delhi Nov. 1.
