Continental to reduce cargo operations at Houston
Continental Airlines said it will reduce its cargo operations at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport from this Friday to protect shipments from Hurricane Rita.
Continental said it will not accept perishable shipments into or out of Houston on Friday or Saturday. The airline also said it is not accepting bookings for any animal or human remains shipments connecting, originating or terminating at Houston on Friday through to Sunday.
The airline said it is experiencing heavy volumes of calls at its customer service center and advised shippers to e-mail cocargo@coair.com for a quicker response to questions.
