CONTSHIP CONTAINERLINES ADDS TWO ASIAN AGENTS

   Contship Containerlines has announced the appointments of agents in Hong Kong and mainland China, in preparation for the shipping line's entry in the Europe/Asia trade next month.

   For markets covered by the ports of Hong Kong and Yantian, Contship has selected Ben Line Agencies, administered by managing director Stephen Knight and Kingston Chan, director and general manager of sales and marketing.

   In central and northern China, Contship will use the services of Chiao Feng Shipping for markets served by the ports of Dalian, Quingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo and Xiamen.

   Contship will launch the fixed-day weekly Asia-Europe Service and China Express Service next month.

   The Asia-Europe Service will call at Le Havre, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Zeebrugge, Southampton, Malta, Damietta, Jeddah, Khor Fakkan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Jeddah, Malta and Le Havre.

   The China Express Service will call weekly at Hamburg, Rotterdam, Zeebrugge, Le Havre, Malta, Port Kelang, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Dalian, Inchon, Pusan, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Port Kelang, Damietta, Malta and Hamburg.
