Contship pulls out of U.S. East Coast/Oceania trade

CP Ships-owned carrier Contship Containerlines is withdrawing from the U.S. East/Australia/New Zealand/South Pacific trade.

However, the CP Ships group remains in the trade through other carrier affiliates. Just recently, fellow CP Ships carriers Australia-New Zealand Direct Line and Lykes Lines joined “Eastabout” and “Westabout” U.S. East Coast/Oceania services operated by a vessel-sharing agreement between CP Ships, P&O Nedlloyd and other carriers.
