CONTSHIP SELECTS MTA AS AGENT FOR FINLAND
Contship Containerlines, an ocean carrier, has appointed Maritime Transport & Agencies (MTA) as its new agent in Finland.
David Halliday, senior vice president of CP Ships’ Asia and Australasia Business Unit, cited MTA’s existing network in Finland as one reason for Contship’s choice, as well as his company’s prior relationship with that agent.
MTA already represents Contship in Poland, Latvia, Estonia and Sweden and handles the carrier’s services linking Europe with Asia, the U.S. Gulf, and South America, as well as Contship’s new contrarotating, round-the-world service between Europe, North America and the Pacific Islands.
