Corps releases draft 20-year dredge management plan for Baltimore
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has prepared a draft 20-year dredge management plan for the Port of Baltimore in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act.
The goal of the agency is to develop a plan to “maintain, in an economically and environmentally sound manner, channels necessary for navigation” for the Mid-Atlantic port, and use the dredged materials as a “beneficial resource.”
The plan is available for review online at http://www.nab.usace.army.mil/projects/Maryland/DMMP/index.html. Comments are due to the Corps of Engineers by March 28.
