COSCO adds Greek call to Asia/Mediterranean service
COSCO Container Lines, as part of the CKYH alliance, has added calls at Piraeus in Greece to its weekly Asia/Mediterranean AMX service.
The 3,800-TEU vessel “River Elegance” made the first call at the port April 8, which COSCO said was the first direct call at any Greek port by “a Chinese super container vessel.”
The AMX service uses eight COSCO-operated ships averaging about 3,500 TEUs and has a revised port rotation of: Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shekou, Singapore, Ashdod, Piraeus, Naples, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Port Said, Singapore, and back to Qingdao.
Fellow CKYH alliance partners “K” Line and Yang Ming have space on the AMX.
