COSCO AND HANJIN EXCHANGE MEDITERRANEAN/U.S. SLOTS
COSCO Container Lines and Hanjin Shipping will start exchanging slots on their respective U.S. East Coast/Mediterranean services at the beginning of May.
COSCO will take space on Hanjin’s AMA weekly service, while Hanjin will have space on the new AUM weekly service of COSCO, “K” Line and Yang Ming between the U.S. and the Mediterranean.
Hanjin’s AMA service calls at Gioia Tauro, La Spezia, Fos, Valencia, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Valencia, La Spezia and Gioia Tauro.
The AUM vessels of COSCO and partners call at Charleston, Norfolk, New York, Boston, Valencia, Naples, Genoa, Barcelona, New York, Norfolk and Charleston.
Both transatlantic services are part of longer multi-trade “pendulum” services that continue to Asia. The new cooperation between COSCO and Hanjin affects only the transatlantic legs of those services.
