COSCO, EVERGREEN CUT ONE SHIP IN CHINA/MIDDLE EAST LINK
From March, Evergreen Marine Corp. and COSCO Container Lines are reducing the number of ships from seven to six on their joint weekly Asia/Middle East
“China-Arabian Persian Gulf” service.
Calls at Xingang are being dropped from the rotation, but a new call at Ningbo was added on Feb. 15. The Evergreen-operated vessel “LT Grand” starts the
amended service when it departs Qingdao on March 19.
In a separate development, China Shipping Container Lines has started to take slots from COSCO on the “CPG” service. From Feb. 16, CSCL will take 75 TEUs per week from COSCO between Port Rashid in Dubai, Dammam and Karachi. For four voyages during March, CSCL will instead take 105 TEUs per week.
Once the changes have come into effect, the “CPG” service will have a revised port rotation of Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore,
Port Rashid, Dammam, Karachi, Singapore, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Shanghai and Ningbo.
