CP Ships adds ANZDL to U.S. East Coast/Oceania service
CP Ships-owned Australia-New Zealand Direct Line has started taking space southbound between the U.S. East Coast and Oceania on the weekly Europe/U.S. East Coast/Oceania joint “Westabout” service of sister company Contship Containerlines, CMA CGM, Columbus Line, Marfret and P&O Nedlloyd.
ANZDL already took space northbound between Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. East Coast on the “Eastabout” service of the same carriers.
Following the decision of another CP Ships carrier, Lykes Lines, to join both services at the same time, the addition of ANZDL to the U.S. East Coast/Oceania link means that CP Ships now markets this service under three separate brand names and sales networks.
The “Westabout” service uses 12 ships averaging 2,298 TEUs and has a full port rotation of Damietta, Egypt; Malta; La Spezia; Tilbury; Hamburg; Rotterdam; Dunkirk; Le Havre; New York; Norfolk, Va.; Savannah, Ga.; Manzanillo, Panama; Papeete, Tahiti; Auckland; Noumea, New Caledonia; Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Fremantle, Singapore, Jeddah and back to Damietta.
