CP SHIPS MAKES MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTS

   Stuart Rattray has been named vice president to oversee development of information systems planning and design for CP Ships, the group of ocean shipping lines. He will be based in Tampa.

   Rattray was chief executive officer of Australia-New Zealand Direct Line, which CP Ships acquired in December 1998. In his new role, Rattray will also oversee information systems planning and design.

   Andrea Bolch, senior vice president of ANZDL, is assuming Rattray's responsibilities in North America. She reports to David Halliday, CP Ships senior vice president with overall responsibility for Australasia. Bolch joined ANZDL as commercial director in 1992 and has held a number of senior management positions.

   Jeremy Masters has been named vice president, Asia, responsible for agency activities of CP Ships units Contship Containerlines, Lykes Lines and TMM Lines in Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia. He has been with CP Ships for 17 years, and was most recently responsible for Canada Maritime Agencies in North America.

   Ron Vogel has been named vice president of Canada Maritime and Cast in Montreal. He was regional director of the Midwest for Cast, which he joined in 1980.

      Paul Gilmore, head of Cast North America, is returning to Canadian Pacific Railway.
