Crowley Logistics earns full C-TPAT validation
Crowley Logistics said Monday it has received full-company validation in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) security program.
The C-TPAT full validation from Customs and Border Protection means Crowley's security program has passed a rigorous validation audit. Only about 10 percent of the 9,000 participants in the C-TPAT program have achieved full validation.
Crowley said its shipper customers who are also C-TPAT program members can expect a reduction of CBP targeting and inspection of their shipments upon arrival in U.S. ports. In addition, in the event of a random Customs inspection, C-TPAT members will move to the head of the line when inspections are scheduled.
“The validation of Crowley Logistics’ C-TPAT program is a step closer in solidifying the supply chain security pipeline,' said Carlos Rice, general manager. 'It is also one step closer to the integration of customers needs with the security demands of today’s logistics providers.'
