CROWLEY LOGISTICS LAUNCHES TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT CENTER
Crowley Logistics on Tuesday launched a transportation management center at its Jacksonville headquarters that will provide end-to-end supply chain transportation services for the company’s third-party logistics customers.
The center, which is managed by Ron Stalvey, director of freight services, will provide freight forwarding, non-vessel-operating common carrier services, air freight, customs house brokerage, less-than-containerload consolidation and inland third-party transportation.
“We are bundling Crowley’s core strengths to deliver door-to-door transportation solutions,” said John Hourihan, senior vice president and general manager of Crowley Logistics, the two-year-old subsidiary of Crowley Maritime Corp. “We have performed this work in separate pieces for years and look forward to executing and promoting our capabilities as a total package.”
Besides transportation and contract logistics services, Hourihan emphasized the company’s experience in the Latin American region, including understanding customs and practices there.
