Crowley promotes Mead to general counsel
Crowley Maritime Corp. has promoted Art Mead to vice president and general counsel.
Mead, who has been part of the legal department for nine years, will continue to report to Bill Verdon, senior vice president and general counsel in Oakland. Crowley said in a statement that Mead will play a larger role in corporate governance by overseeing the corporate secretarial function and will be actively involved in Crowley's government relations activities.
Mead joined Crowley in 1996 as associate corporate counsel and served most recently as senior corporate counsel in Jacksonville.
