Crowley promotes Rivera, Jirau
Crowley Maritime Corp. has promoted Loyda Rivera to director, international human resources, and Zoraida Jirau to director, employee programs and development.
With Crowley’s growing presence in Central America and other non-U.S.-based locations, Rivera’s responsibilities have expanded, the company said. She is responsible for overseeing international employee human resources related activities to ensure compliance with local laws and company policies.
Rivera was most recently international human resources manager.
In her new role, Jirau and her team will expand their roles to encompass not only employee training and development programs, but also corporate-wide human resources practices and policies. She will be responsible for the design of other human resources processes such as performance management systems, leadership development, policy changes and new programs to meet the needs of business initiatives.
The corporation’s employee assistance and drug compliance programs are also managed by Jirau.
Jirau will relocate from South Florida to Crowley’s Jacksonville office.
