Crowley to manage two U.S.-flag ships of FABC
Marine Transport Corp., a subsidiary of Crowley Maritime Corp., has taken over the ship management for two 2,400-TEU containerships owned by First American Bulk Carriers Corp.
The first of the two vessels, the “Delaware Bay,” moved under the ship management company Marine Transport Management Inc. July 1. Its sister vessel, the “Chesapeake Bay,” will follow July 22. The vessels are on time charter to Royal P&O Nedlloyd, which trades as P&O Nedlloyd.
Both ships are also enrolled in the Maritime Security Program of the U.S. government.
