CSAV expands Europe/East Coast South America presence
Chile's Compania Sud Americana de Vapores has joined two services in the North Europe/East Coast South America trade to compliment its existing Euroatlantic service.
CSAV now takes slots on Mediterranean Shipping Co.'s unnamed loop as well as Hamburg Sud's River Plate Express.
The River Plate Express uses six ships of about 5,500 TEUs and calls Rotterdam, Tilbury, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Sepetiba, Santos, Paranagua, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Santos, Suape and back to Rotterdam.
MSC's service uses six vessels averaging 3,300 TEUs and has a port rotation of Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Sao Francisco do Sul, Santos, Las Palmas and Antwerp. Senator Lines also takes space on the service.
CSAV's own Euroatlantic service is unchanged, using five vessels of about 2,500 TEUs and calling Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Santos, Paranagua, Itajai, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Rotterdam.
