CZECH AIRLINE WILL JOIN SKYTEAM
CSA Czech Airlines has signed an agreement with Air France, Delta Air Lines, Korean Air and Aeromexico to join the SkyTeam airlines alliance in April.
SkyTeam members did not mention any plans for cargo integration in the statement announcing the agreement.
CSA, with its hub in Prague, will add Eastern European reach to SkyTeam, which already has major hubs in Paris, Atlanta, Seoul and Mexico City. SkyTeam said that its route system covers all the major destinations in the Northern Hemisphere, where about 80 percent of the world’s traffic flies.
Air France, Delta, Korean Air and Aeromexico recently said they are expanding their cooperation to include cargo. Air France and Delta are leading the way with a joint venture in the United States and with coordinated sales activities in Europe.
