Damaged dredge towed to repair yard
The U.S. Coast Guard said the 200-foot dredge vessel New York was towed to the Brooklyn Navy Yard on Saturday for repairs.
The dredge was damaged in Newark Bay when it was hit by the orange juice tanker Orange Sun on Jan. 24.
Repairs necessary to make it possible to tow the dredge to Brooklyn took seven days.
The Coast Guard said the cause of the collision is under investigation.
