Danka contracts with Exel to distribute European consumables
Danka, a Tampa, Fla.-based provider of copiers and printers, has contracted with Exel, a U.K.-based provider of logistics services, for Exel to manage Danka's supply chains in Europe.
Exel will use its facility in Huenxe, Germany, as a hub for dispersing Danka's spares and consumables for copiers and printers.
'We are currently evaluating a roadmap of activity to make the transition to a central warehousing facility as seamless as possible,' said Hugo Abrahamse, director of logistics for Danka's distribution unit.
Danka founded in has 9,300 employees in 28 countries. The company's head office in Europe is in Stellenbosch, in the Netherlands.
