DCA appoints Rausch executive director

The Dredging Contractors of America has appointed Jim Rausch to executive director, replacing Mark Sickles, who will continue to work with DCA as a consultant.

Before joining DCA, Rausch served more than 30 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was chief of the Corps’ Office of Congressional Affairs in Washington at the time of his retirement in July.

One of Rausch’s responsibilities at DCA will be to strengthen the organization’s relations with its members, the Corps and other federal agencies, Congress and DCA’s sister associations. Another responsibility for Rausch is to emphasize the dredging industry’s role in the nation’s economy and security.
