DCL PROVIDES DOCUMENTATION BY E-MAIL
Direct Container Line, the Carson, Calif.-based non-vessel-operating common carrier, said Friday it now provides documentation by e-mail for customers in North America.
Rate quotations, booking confirmations, inland pickup confirmations, dock receipts and bills of lading are sent out as “tif” attachments via e-mail. The tif files can be opened with any photo or imaging software, and can be forwarded to consignee or customer.
DCL said the new services requires a one-time set-up process.
