Delaware port signs 5-year agreement with Chilean fruit importer
Delaware’s Port of Wilmington Diamond State Port Corp. has signed a new five-year agreement with a two-year extension option with Pacific Delaware for storage and distribution of Chilean fruit imports.
Pacific Delaware is a U.S. company whose main customer, Swordfish Shipping, is represented in Chile by Pacific Seaways, a Chilean company that provides shipping services for Chilean fruit exporters.
Pacific Delaware and Pacific Seaways have been customers of the Port of Wilmington since 1994. Since then, their business volume has increased steadily from 4 million boxes up to the current level of about 14 million boxes.
