DELMAS RAISES MED/WEST AFRICA RATES
Delmas, the French niche carrier, plans to raise southbound freight rates from the Mediterranean to West Africa on April 1.
The carrier said that it would increase its rates by 350 euro ($375) per 20-foot container, 630 euro ($675) per 40-footer and 10 euro ($11) per freight ton of conventional cargo.
“For two years, structural imbalances in the Europe/Africa market have caused a substantial fall in freight rates,” Delmas said.
