Descartes hires two senior executives
Descartes Systems Group hired Chris Jones and Mark Weisberger, two industry veterans, to beef up its senior management team.
The Canadian logistics IT company appointed Jones as executive vice president, solutions and markets, and Weisberger as executive vice president, field operations.
At the same time, Bruce Gordon, executive vice president of operations at Descartes, is leaving the company.
Jones was senior vice president in Aberdeen Group's value chain research division. He joins Descartes with more than 20 years of experience in enterprise applications and supply chain markets.
Weisberger is an enterprise software industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, specializing in field operations. He spent more than 12 years in sales roles at Dun & Bradstreet Software and was most recently responsible for sales and business development at Sychron Inc.
Descartes’ management team is led by Arthur Mesher, its chief executive officer. In addition to Mesher, Jones and Weisberger, Descartes’ management team comprises Brandon Nussey, chief financial officer, Scott Pagan, general counsel and corporate secretary, and Ed Ryan, general manager, global logistics network.
