DESCARTES LAUNCHES WIRELESS CARGO-TRACKING APPLICATION
The Descartes Systems Group, a provider of logistics solutions, has introduced MobileLink: Tracker, a wireless application that uses global positioning satellite technology to give real-time visibility of cargo vehicles.
The new application allows truck dispatchers and customer service representatives to update driver progress against established route plans, thereby reducing wait times, unscheduled driver breaks, and vehicles straying from designated deliveries.
