DHL adds Louisiana ground hub
DHL continued its rapid U.S. expansion program with the opening Wednesday of a new regional sort center in Baton Rouge, La.
In the last two weeks the express delivery and logistics company has opened regional hubs in Denver, Salt Lake City and Memphis. The company plans to add three more facilities as part of a $1.2-billion buildout of its ground network to compete with FedEx Corp. and UPS.
DHL spent $3 million for the 25,845-square-foot sort center in Baton Rouge.
