DHL EXPANDS SERVICE PARTS NETWORK FOR U.S. AND CANADA

DHL Worldwide Express said Monday it has opened a distribution center in San Francisco as the first step in “expansion plans for DHL’s logistics offerings in the U.S. and Canada,” said Charles Menkworst, DHL’s vice president, global logistics.

DHL's new “express logistics center' will handle service parts in a network of other DHL centers located in Cincinnati, Miami, Brussels, Bahrain, Johannesburg, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, and starting next month, in Tokyo.

Such centers insure two-to-four hour deliveries “for customers’ mission-critical operations,” a DHL statement said.
