DIAZ INSTALLED AS AAPA CHAIRMAN
Agustin Diaz, deputy general manager of Curacao Ports Authority Inc., has been installed as chairman of the American Association of Port Authorities.
“We’re pleased to have Agustin lead the Association on behalf of AAPA’s Latin American delegation,” said Kurt J. Nagle, AAPA president.
Also installed at AAPA’s 91st annual convention was John Mohr, executive director of the Port of Everett, Wash. Mohr will serve as the U.S. delegation and legislative policy council chairman of AAPA in the coming year. The council determines AAPA policy positions on U.S. legislative and regulatory issues.
Mohr has more than 20 years experience working for four ports in Oregon and Washington. His experience also includes large-scale marina management and airport operations.
AAPA was founded in 1912, and represents 150 public port authorities in the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.
