Dragonair posts record cargo volume in November
Hong Kong-based Dragonair said it carried a record 35,529 tons of freight in November, up 6.6 percent from 33,323 tons carried in the same month last year.
For the year to date, Dragonair has carried 348,534 tons, up 13 percent over the 308,379 tons recorded after the same period in 2004.
“Cargo had an excellent month, because November is traditionally a peak time for shipments. Shipments from Europe were particularly strong on a month-month basis due to demand for charter flights to Japan for Beaujolais wine from France,” said Stanley Hui, Dragonair’s chief executive officer, in a statement.
