E-COMMERCE FORUM OFFERS MEMBERSHIPS ONLINE
The Global Electronic Trade Alliance, a new forum to serve the electronic commerce industry, is offering membership via the association's new Web site.
GETA serves the business-to-business trade-related service providers as well as traditional businesses that are just getting into this industry sector.
The organization, founded by Robert J. Pisani, a partner at the law firm of Katten Muchin Zavis, plans to offer online discussion groups for its members, produce educational seminars and disseminate critical information involving global online trade. The group will also hold a symposium in San Francisco in April.
GETA has formally incorporated and set an interim board of directors, with former Customs Commissioner George Weise, now of Vastera, serving as chairman.
